On Saturday Aug 10th, 8 brave souls risked the weather and wind to blitz Strathgartney Provincial Park in the hunt for mushrooms as part of the 2024 Continental Mycoblitz.

In spite of the recent rain, the woods were fairly quiet mushroom wise, but overall we found over 40 different species, with 27 species being process for DNA sequencing.
