Along the eastern edge of the intergrade zone in Nebraska between the western nominate and eastern lecontei the Festive tiger beetle loses the bright reds, blues and greens of the west and begins to take on the appearance of the duller eastern ssp.

Description

Eastern Whip-poor-will seen while out walking near the Emmaville Swamp in Hubbard county. We watched this bird repeatedly sally up from the ground, chasing after insects.
