Flora of the Pacific Northwest differentiates J. maritima and the hybrid with J. vulgaris based on the achenes being puberulent for the hybrid and glabrous for J. maritima. Also the hybrid is intermediate in habit and pubescence. There are a couple plants on the site with a perennial habit and many stems.

Comparison of needle tips from Taxus twigs from different plants found in Burton Acres Park. I am guessing that the one on the left is Taxus baccata and the one on the right is Taxus brevifolia. The one on the right was from an older tree with the correct bark for T. brevifolia. The one on the left was from a seedling, so I didn't have bark to help confirm the ID.
This observation is about the one on the right, but I would also appreciate comments on whether my guess for the species on the left is correct or if it might also be T. brevifolia.
