Description
Planctonic bloom with Pelagia noctiluca being the dominant predator, numbering more than 50-60 individuals within a 500m radius.
First shot is a formation of two individuals meant to enhance the success of sexual reproduction, while the rest are individuals that have grabbed onto pieces of plastic and a pair entangled/trapped in a plastic bag (which I removed after the shot).

Spotted a great number of individuals dead or dying on the sandy bottom of the sea near Kymi. Conversation with the locals revealed a singificant bloom 4 days ago - coinsiding with my record of Pelagia Noctiluca near Sounio
and pointing to a large scale event in the Aegean. (for details see also https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/63463288)
