Description

This critter came slinking TOWARDS me on the trail; three times coming closer, dropping the dead mouse in the path, then finally coming back to grab the prey and take it into the blackberry bushes. It almost seemed like a reluctant offering to me! I got video because the weasel was in a pattern of dropping the mouse and returning! And...just last night, I made a weasel hat as a costume piece to help kids learn about bird language. I was musing about this hat a moment before this funny little one showed up coming directly at me. Whoa.
