Will continue to scour for better photos but this might be the best I've got. Peregrine caught the (bat?) pretty far west over the ocean. Not sure it will be identifiable. Screaming almost-fledgling for size reference

Incredible bee aggregation! They were super active. Mostly males flying around right above the ground. Only a few females out and I didn't see any with pollen. Nests mostly covered with leaf litter. Hundreds of bees at least, in an area about 10 by 3 meters right by the stream.

I don't know insect species, but the location of observation and the ecology (preference for Asclepias sp.) seems to fit. Observed here along Lockwood - San Ardo Road on the west side of Williams Hill. Pollinating Asclepias eriocarpa. About 50 individuals total observed on several Asclepias individuals. Numerous Pepsini sp (tarantula hawk) individuals observed pollinating the Asclepias also.

the ssp. internationalis is likely a synonym of P. l. brevinasus but since it remains in the iNat taxonomy, I'm using it as it is the most accurate for this observation

This badger was apparently hunting with coyotes (a behavior that I was unaware of at the time). I first heard commotion off to my left and then saw a Black-tailed Jackrabbit bolt out of a mesquite. I froze when I heard the noise, and a few seconds after the rabbit went by, a pair of coyotes came out on either side of the mesquite. I watched them and snapped a bad photo or two and then caught movement to my left again and this badger came out on the side of the mesquite closest to me.

Description
Lost Maples State Natural Area. This very, very small population was originally found just recently by Dylan Winkler (@dylapodiformes here on iNaturalist, his observation documented here: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/101902474 ). This is a new county record of a primarily Mexican species previously only known to occur in Texas (and the US) in two disjunct counties (Brewster, Uvalde, and now Bandera counties). The species has cigar-shaped involucres of similar size and shape as C. odorata (Crucita) but with white flowers, abaxial surface (underside) of the leaves have prominent (raised) reticulate (net-like) venation, and the foliage has a fragrance when rubbed much resembling the foliage of Eysenhardtia texana (Texas Kidneywood), albeit at half or less of the potency.
