Not sure if it spent the winter under that piece of bark or just down for the night. It did not move when I turned over the bark and gently touched it. Observed at 8:30 pm, April 11, near freezing (~+2 Celsius.) I saw another one flying April 16 - 1st of the season :)

On limestone slope. Could be Cerastium arcticum but more likely C. bialynickii due to compact pulvinate clump and short sepals with broad scarious margins.

Way outside my experience. I am not certain if this is algae, but it was suggested by an experienced salt-water aquarium owner to resemble a type of bubble algae. I see Sailor's Eyeball Alga (Valonia ventricosa) appears to be a tropical to subtropical algae, which would be inconsistent with the Tuktoyaktuk (Beaufort Sea area) area. Any suggestions?

Edited: Yukon Stitchwort (Cherleria yukonensis). I initially wrote Growing on moist creek sediment draining mine rock reject tailings, Clinton Creek, YT, June 23/23.
I struggle with these species. I am guessing Alpine Sandwort (Cherleria obtusiloba) based on curved petals, but I often confuse with Arctic stitchwort (Cherleria arctica). I am lacking field ID criteria.
