Crassula alcicornis in its forest hideout
Crassulas don't come much more localised that this wonderful long horned beastie; so far known only from this locality, but no reason why it shouldn't be in similar looking kloofies nearby (most harder to get to) - like its other rare congeners. Phil Desmet & Matt Opal did the hard work and found it here some 15yrs ago. Seemingly rather rare, usually in south facing, humus filled sandstone crevices at edge of forest, with lots of ferns, and rather cryptic. No apparent threats, although alien poplars are nearby clogging up the stream
