This is #1 of 3 Dee Dees that landed on the stump one after the other...This one paused just long enough for the camera to focus in on the tasty treat this one has.
Rufous is on the left.
Hey dove wanna see something cool?! You take a running jump, then Wheeeeeee! Me too! Wheeeeee! Well that was fun! :)
Dove submitted separately
Wheeeeee!!! :))
Perfect vantage point :)
Another tiny lizard that likes hiding under the garbage can
I think the nest must've shrunk....One of the parents was sitting close by in the truck shelter...Maybe she was trying to coax them to fly? She didn't fly away when she saw me coming over to take their photo. The other parent was sitting just outside the front of the shelter, on its' usual perch. It didn't fly away either when I walked right past it! I hope they don't decide to leave their nest tonight...There's a rain fall warning in effect,& it's pouring!
Well there is a sighting on the map for these...
At first I thought it was an Asian Lady Beetle).
If correct it's another first for here.
"Trusty rusty" back on the job tonight, & actively working the porch!!
I couldn't believe my eyes when this one flew over & landed right in front of me! Usually they are down by the lake & on the move.
Another first
Check out pic #2 close up of feather!
Ahhh. That's better...My long time mothing buddy is back on the front porch & on the job..."Trusty Rusty"
Mrs.O'Mally-checking out the dinner menu....
How quickly they grow!! Seems like just yesterday they were just warm fuzzy little heads!!
What a beauty!
It kept fluttering its' wings, making it difficult to get a clear photo of the wing markings, which are so pretty
One of my corn loving muskrats....this has to be one of my fave pics of this fella----note the cute furry ears!
So many turtles swimming and crawling up on dam that it is impossible to make a useful count.
Separate posting for the 3 on the other end of the rock
"Trusty Rusty" in his day time planter pot on the front porch...Just chilling till night fall & the mothing beings!!
Fortunately I looked out the window before opening the door to go out...This little Sparrow was very busily 'grocery shopping' just out from the porch. She was really finding many
'items' for her basket...I have no idea what type of caterpiller she nailed, among other tasty morsels. She had to keep readjusting the load...
My evening trek to the little lake...looking for turtles & what not....and lo & behold!!! WOW!! What a perfect ending to a perfect day to see this lady in my bay! Firsts sighting in 2 years. Something was upsetting the Blue Jays in the other bay, & she kept looking over there, but kept on munching. She did glance my way, but didn't seem to be perturbed, & I quietly backed away to let her eat in peace.
Happy, serious, Happy!
(5) I don't know where she has been hiding these, but they (& the other 2 adults) were in my bay, so I'm assuming they are the ones that hatched here some time ago & then I never saw them again. Good to see they've all survived!
"Trusty Rusty"!! Haven't seen him in over a month...he has been my mothing buddy for several years now, on my front porch.Hadn't seen him for so long thought I had lost him.Today when I was giving the petunias a drink, I heard this chirp, then saw him in the pot. He wasn't impressed with the shower, & lumbered slowly out of the pot & over into the corner......Good to see His Pudgyness again..He is definitely getting slower.
There were 6 of them!! Unfortunately I startled them, & they all flew away except for this one...it had its' back to me & didn't see me. :)
Continuing- already counted
Mrs.O'Mally and her 4 young, over for their din din...She moved away because of the muskrat.
Eau De Parfum :)
This fellow fluttered in just as I was about to leave the area, & crash landed right in front of me. What a gorgeous rich brown!!
Well that was entertaining :D
With the 1 and only cicada observed in this neck of the woods!
What a beautiful lady! And one of the larger ones I've seen, she takes up pretty much that entire log!
Nice that she was willing to pose so prettily for me too!
Another first if correct
Taken using a movement sensing camera at the Block of Bush.
Some pictures are snapshots from videos.
This apparently very hungry Hen would not be deterred by the human standing on the land near where she forages for treats :)
Oh my it appears they are building a nest inside the squirrel-proof feeder :D
Marie hen leads her 5 ducklings, approximately 6-7 weeks old, to the edge of the lake. They all jump into the water after their mother. (With 1-2 house sparrows , #’s 2-4 and #’s 21-30)
Rocky the raccoon tailed squirrel :)
Aww..this one has antennaes....
(I think I have been out in the sun too long...).
This post is for the Midland, (right)
This post is for the Blanding's,

Usually hiding in the pine trees. Wouldn't come out of the shade for a better shot.
Another one in the shade, then retreated back into the conifers.

Base Singer aka "Base Bob 1" Has a leech on his mouth
2nd frame is underside view
I spot this Mocking Bird chasing a Squirrel along the wires behind the houses. The picture is blurry but then the chase ended up in my backyard tree, where I spotted the squirrel for 1 quick pic before a second Mocking Bird joined the chase. I don’t know what the squirrel did to make them angry, but the chase continued on past my yard, so I don’t know where it ended.
This lizard was a super model😎 in another life- really wanted to work their angles.😄
Bath Time!
Another first!! What a beauty!!
Supposedly they like Virginia Thicket, & I have lots of them, so hoping to see more of these.
Mrs.O'Mally, and her 4 young ones sharing a photo with a Midland Painted Turtle. Notice how well camouflaged the ducks are in the last 2 frames.
Post is for the ducks
Time out for a leg massage...then had this darn itch....
Ahhhhhh....PEANUTS!!!!!
These peanuts are far TOO GOOD to pack back to the den...I'm chowing down right here & now!!! I don't know if this is the same one that used to eat from my hand last year, but it comes right over to me as soon as it sees me out there, I have to watch that I don't step on him!
2nd photo...Thrusters engaged, commencing lift off to climb chain from bird feeder.... (sigh)
Well look at me..I've figured out how to access the one & only hanging feeder.......Check out pic # 3.....
Haven't figured out why they seem to prefer sipping their nectar in the upside down position, I've flipped the photo so it is upright & hopefully easier to ID!
Same butterfly in both pics.
Separate posting for the fella in the bottom rt corner of 2nd pic)
(F) - Continuing, already counted. Submitting for the Upside Down project
(F) This little lady was very intently pulling up lily pads, however I didn't see her actually finding anything to her liking (bug-wise). She knew I was there (less than 5 ft away) however she ignored me. Used to seeing me there I guess by now! She has a nest in that bay.
