Private Cranberry Bog
Probably not a snow goose but I don’t know what else it could be
Juvenile following soon behind adult. Uncertain if parental

We pulled over on the road approaching the lock and dam. View is fro the car and through the trees. The three of us agreed "100s". It was stunning. In among the mergansers is a large eagle sitting on the ice.
Woods near a riverside
Growing in our office. Maybe this doesn't count since it's captive...
Feeder is 11” so estimate bird size at 12.5” fuzzy detail but the tail is really clear so that helps id
Part of a large flock that visits regularly
Hermit or Gray-cheeked? Thoughts?
This bird was in my backyard this morning. Initially thought it was yellow-shafted but it had a bright red underwing in flight and closer inspection revealed a red undertail. Had to get pics because this is pretty rare here. I am pretty confident this is a female red-shafted flicker but would like further input, as a hybrid is also possible.
Duck Lake
Female blue morph.

I am curious what you think of this ID. Are the photos sufficient to ID to species?
saw saw whet saw whet whet saw saw whet whet saw? whet saw saw whet.
cooooool
Not sure if it's a joke and someone left a chicken egg or what but that's about the size of it.
Taken at the Split Rock Lighthouse compound
Not my best shot of a GBH, but a fun one. Taken from the kayak while kind of parked on a log. They're so funny when they are face on to you.
Little guy needed to rest his wings. Wonder what he’s doing so far off shore!
Sherburne Wildlife Refuge
2nd Cass county record. First November Minnesota record.

While my mother was being interred, this eagle flew over, perched, chirped for a bit, then sat in the treetop the whole time, a good 35 minutes or so. She loved the story a priest told her some years ago about attending a funeral for a Native American, and his counterpart told him now we wait for the eagle, and sure enough, one appeared and flew overhead. Would have loved to hear her reaction to receiving the same honor. :)

At this time, Floridians are tracking Hurricane Ian, the center of which will make landfall later this day as a strong Category 4, along the Gulf Coast near Cayo Costa, at 3:05 pm eastern.
Saw a hawk eating a newly caught pigeon. It was sitting on the lawn outside my building, right out in the open by the sidewalk. He didn't seemed perturbed by the cars or pedestrians walking by as he ate.
Is this a mallard or a hybrid with a mallard, I’m so confused
American Crow being harassed by a Chimney Swift? My first time ever seeing a Chimney Swift if that's what it was. I've wanted to see one since I first heard about them. The Crow wasn't as impressed as I was!
This is certainly a first for me! I highly suspect that maybe someone is putting food colouring in the birdbath?
Pair is somehow finding a way to survive and nest in Minnesota, this has never been documented. See articles and bird sites for more info regarding these birds.
MEGA, first record in Wisconsin!

Jabiru
Corpus Christi, Texas
7 Sep 1981
I'm posting this 31 year old record just for the historical value. This was the 5th Texas and United States record of a Jabiru. There are now (2012) 10 records in Texas. These shots were taken against the dawn light and are essentially silhouettes but that is all I have of this bird. The first image is cropped to the bird to show its unique bill and head shape. The 2nd shot shows the overall scene as visible at the time through a 400mm lens. The Texas records of this species are posted below:
