At least 2 males were seen emitting a bluish light for several seconds while flying low along the edge of a floodplain forest. The male in the photos was 9mm in length. These may not be the local 'Piedmont Ghost' for several reasons: the date of observation (June 6), the 'blue' light appeared brighter than what I've observed for 'Piedmont Ghosts', and the habitat was different. Additionally, there are several morphological characteristics such as the larger lantern, overall length, and smaller 'windows' in the head shield. Overall, this individual appears to be more similar to P. reticulata than to the 'Piedmont Ghosts'. 70 degrees Fahrenheit, clear, no wind, and mGDD from February 1 was ~1436. This individual was released after photos.
