Description

This is the most intensely colored population I've ever seen of this species.

In the background of the third picture you can see the contrast of paler colored Dicentra flowers which I consider to by very typical in this area (I've lived around here most of my life).

Unfortunately I was using my camera phone so the color is not completely accurate. In real life the color is much more saturated than the pictures depict.

Densest stand with about 25-30 mature plants (rabbits were there munching on seed stalks) and 75-100 seedlings within 90 sqft under or on the margins of infrequently mowed shrubs within ROW. I counted 7 mature outliers doing a bit of crawling through/under blackberry. Last 2 pics show general habitat. @eralverson @ajwright @peterzika @patricksowers
