Description

The Grand Mayan by Vidanta (Riviera Maya). A wild cat of some kind! Saw him last night, but it was too dark to get a picture. Surprised to see him again in the morning! Skidding about people getting close, will not come if called or coaxed. No collar or ID, so likely wild. Not quite a house cat, not quite an ocelot

Description

The Grand Mayan by Vidanta (Riviera Maya). Two peccaries were foraging in the dirt barely a foot off the walking path. They didn’t seem to mind people walking by right next to them, but they took notice and watched me when I crouched down to take a close picture. I stood up and backed away, and they went right back to foraging.
