White-stemmed Gooseberry (Ribes inerme)

Date

August 12, 2018 02:12 PM PDT

Description

I was traveling past Princeton on my way to Kamloops and I believe that I spotted White Stemed Gooseberry Ribes inerme growing along the Northern exposure along Highway 3 Just past east of Bromely Rock and To Near Wolf Creek Reservation. It grows in wet sewage areas along Shale slides and Moist but well drained soil on the Northern exposure. The Characteristic was the colouring of the leaves and the growth habit of this shrub. Yet near riparian forest. Hence why Polygonia oreas threatfuli are found in Princeton BC. This plant is their host plant. I was unable to photograph these shrubs I see because I was in a hurry to get home. I used a photo of this same species that I seen in Barriere BC. So I copied some of them from Google maps.
