I often wonder how some insects can spend so much of their adult life in copulation (ie these guys, goldenrod soldier beetles, and certain Protandrena bees), while others you rarely—if ever—see in pairs.

Different angle

Weather- 57 degrees and partly cloudy

Wind- varying 15-25 mph

Location- behind the dumpters, next to the electric and telephone poles about 10 feet deep into the woods.

In-Depth Location- Under a large tree branch with digging about an inch into the ground and it was sticking out of the dirt.
