It was close to a busy road.
It stood still, trying to go unnoticed.
With a sudden movement it ran away

He was in the same position the entire time.
It was a juvenile because of its size.
Only his head was visible

I think this is Copeoglossum nigropunctatum based on the black soles to the hands. The point is this dissected specimen shows the near-term embryos for this live-bearing species of skink.
