Ascocarp 4.3 cm across. Growing on burnt ground. Paraphyses straight, septate, 2.5 µm wide, tip swelling up to 5 µm. Asci 190 - 225 x 10.3 - 13.8 µm, with 8 spores. Spores (8.2) 8.7 - 9.6 (9.9) x (7.7) 8.5 - 9.2 (9.7) µm, Q = 1 (1.1), N = 30, Me = 9.1 x 8.9 µm, Qe = 1.

I understand this is a synonymous species with N. pouchetii from a paper using LSU sequences, I will try to run ITS and LSU on these in support of that concept.
