Can be heard at 0:12 and 0:27. With White-eyed Vireo, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Ash-throated Flycatcher, and Black-crested Titmouse.

Birds counter-sang until raptor flew past.
One recording is a song. The other is a series of scold calls that at first sound like an insect because of their regularity, but then sounds begin to vary toward to the end. We saw the bird, but it was too skulky for photos.

Made quick trip to Giddings and took a back road on the drive home to iNat before the heat shrivels the flowers. I was hot and sweaty when I arrived home. Temp was 92°F and rising. .

Yellow-throated Vireo Starts around 2 - 3 seconds then continues throughout. Also heard: Carolina Wren, Northern Cardinal and White-eyed Vireo
