Description: This organism has a brown base color with a striped/camouflage pattern on its legs and head. The undercarriage of the organism is white. It is about 3/4th of an inch long. The organisms back has small ridges that range from the neck to the hind legs.

Habitat: This organism was found in a tropical environment, where the temperature and humidity are very high. The ground is composed of a mix between dirt and sand. The organism was found on an island surrounded by salt water and sand.

Geographic Distribution: This species is commonly found in warm tropical climates. They have been recorded frequently in Florida, Cuba, the Bahamas and even in some additional southern states.

We watched this snake slither down this tree. What was equally interesting was watching four nearby birds - a pair of Gray Catbird, a Black-throated Blue Warbler, and a Red-bellied Woodpecker - as they, too, watched this spectacle. The Gray Catbirds were raising their wings, vocalizing, and clearly trying to chase this perceived nest robber out of the area. A great moment!
