Postscript: Female type Rufous are not field distinguishable from Allen's but males? Not that Allen's is a great possibility here since the migration path is not close. Totally different migration pattern
Perched high in a Sycamore it wouldn't have been noticed but it appeared to be fly catching and it chased off a Western Bluebird. An Allen's is very unlikely at this location but a safer ID would be Rufous/Allen's
Found this moth next to a light. Seemed to be very attracted to the light as it only flew and landed near the light bulb
