The honey bee was flying around in close proximity to the flower in order to extract its nectar. It was also flying in close proximity to other bees and looking for other flowers to land on.

The insect was crawling around along the sidewalk, sensing its environment after escaping from inside the building the day prior.

Back home for the summer! I adore the “fussiness” of kingbirds. This year is the first year on campus with MUCH reduced habitat (now “innovation campus”). Will they stay?
