Has a three needle fascicle. Needles were greater than 16 cm. Observed while the pine was growing new pine cones! Pine cones had a green little “tuft” at the top of the cones
Saw this little caterpillar munching on the flower. Also watched the cap of the poppy pop off when it was ready!

This rock was located in the splash zone with Gooseneck Barnacle mixed in with California Mussels to the front of the rock receiving much water and food. These two species are located in the High Tide Zone.
This grass was very short compared to Surf Grass but due to the similar threads, the strands were straighter and didn't look like lettuce.
I was unable to find Kelp Flies and Beach Hoppers under the bladder kelp due to the weather.
I found this plant flowering with miniature tan flowers and white feather-like puffs.
