Hard tissue, lack of stipe on fruit body. Black and bumpy globulose shape directly attached to mossy dead wood in a conifer forest.
Tangled gills not evenly spaces and velvety cap on the fruiting body. Stipe is present and cap gives a fuzzy texture. Found at the base of a rock nearby pines and conifer trees.
