Erumpent ectostromal discs approximately 3mm in diameter, occasionally creating a gelatinous mass on the surface. Perithecia arranged in a valsoid manner. On corticate branch of Carya glabra. Perithecial wall thin, exterior hyphae interwoven into plant cells of the substrate. Ascospores (9.1) 10 - 11.3 (11.9) × (3) 3.4 - 5.1 (5.2) µm with a straight, circumferential germination slit. Paraphyses short, abundant and with contents.
