Description

A small tussock in Allocasuarina nana heath at c. 900m elevation, less common and much more delicate than S. villosus, also present and forming large grassy looking tussocks.

Description

Juncus ochrocoleus. Culms green and hard, about 3mm. Cataphylls very pale yellow to pale brown. Stiations 50. Pith interrupted. Stomata superficial. Inflorescence diffuus. Flowers solitary. Stamens six. Capsules longer than the tepals. Germinates after riverbank redevelopment where the seeds from the wool processing industry come from the Vesdre valley. Second find here. Herbarium material collected.
