Thinking this is a Marsh Rabbit based on location and behavior. It was feeding near the edge of a freshwater marsh, and walked back toward the water as we approached. Unfortunately, I didn't get a good look at the tail so I couldn't completely rule out Eastern Cottontail based on that alone. Interested in what others think for sure!
