I call this “football”… I still remember the first time I saw it, was April 2017. I was like: what the heck is this! I didn’t even think it could be a living thing, hence didn’t even bother to take a photo. Then when I checked my other fungus photos back home I realized what it was. Upset because I didn’t take a photo and I couldn’t find it again until in June!
Now I don’t really see it anymore after I left Christchurch and I remember how my excitement gradually diminished… but still. Bizarre!
