Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos are 44-55cm long

The plumage is overall white, with the underwing and tail yellow tinged. The expressive crest is also yellow. The bill is black, their legs are grey and the eye-ring is whitish

Their distinctive raucous calls can be very loud. They are naturally curious, as well as very intelligent

They have adapted very well and live in many urban areas. The ones from the photos have been seen in an urban park of Sydney City Centre

These birds are very longed-lived, and can live upwards of 70 years in captivity, although they only live about 20-40 years in the wild

The sulphur-crested cockatoo is a seasonal breeder in Australia, from May to September. Two or three eggs are laid and incubation lasts between 25-27 days
