Field Notes - Very large black fly: aprox 2cm long from nose to wing tips and thorax aprox 8-10mm wide. Very hairy with blue/green iridescent patches on its back. Dark red/brown eyes with distinct white band behind the eyes. Head appears to be silvery blue.
