Underside is paler yellow in color versus green
Growing in mixed conifer duff, in inland Humboldt County. Notable species being Jeffrey pine (Pinus jeffreyi) and western white pine (Pinus monticola)

Description

On trunk of Black Oak, collected a portion, maybe Physconia or similar? Thallus is K negative in water cross section, rhizines appear thick and squarrose, portion of the lower surface look quite whitish, possibly denuded of lower cortex?
