All features like Brown Thornbill, but has yellowish belly. Found dead on Binna Burra Rd
dog was barking at something in the garden bed and it popped out from under the ground and ran away
A lot of Rosella’s around atm and they are loving Grevillea Bushes.
I heard it; then saw it flying southeast to northwest overhead, pursued by noisy miners; had time to snap off just one quick photo. First time I've ever seen this species in this particular spot (there ARE radiata pines and a large banksia integrifolia in the area).
Having a scratch.
Twitching the Brisbane megas found a few days ago by local resident Julie Cox.

Seen in the Lagoon Creek and William G Buckle Heritage Reserve area.
At least two birds. In the vicinity of Lagoon Creek Caboolture. My camera does not do GPS and I have had extreme difficulty relating the aerial /satellite image to my memory of the location: best-guess.
A general note: this was six years ago, but at that time this location was a real 'hot-spot' for little birds - scarlet honeyeater, lewin's honeyeater, double-barred finches, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, etc. Any Brisbane-based i-naturalist/australia contributors would probably find it worth their while adding this location to their 'places to visit' schedule. The creek - Lagoon Creek - is reputed to contain platypus and the railway dam where I saw most of the birds might well contain rakali.
Near a pond or dam in the William G Buckle heritage reserve.
Location is 'best guess'. We were near the William G. Buckle Heritage Reserve. My camera does not do GPS location and maps of the area are unclear and unhelpful.
2 x juvenile kookaburras together. Could not get a pic of the other one.
