This frog is the most abundant amphibian in Iran that lives in forest and desert areas, gardens, mountains, rivers, marshes and yards. This amphibian has a very large size and feeds on insects and dives into the water in times of danger.
I observed this gecko at a rock crack some minutes after sunrise. I guessed that as M.heterocercus but I'm not sure due to its dorsal tubercles! 3 pairs of post-mentals were obvious. What's your idea?
Sorry for the low quality of the photos
The snake was seen on the stone wall and I just took a picture with my mobile phone and when I wanted to take a picture with the camera, the snake escaped into a hole.
