Pelicans Are Strange
Pelicans are migrating north to find mates & raise babies. In breeding colors with more yellow here & there and deeply orange pouches with those ridiculous breeding horns on their bills. All meant to attract. The guy/gal on the left is practicing come hither moves. I don't know, looks kinda desperate to me. Teenager on right, leaning down is doing what teens do. (pink bill, no horn = teen) Wants a snack but feeling lazy so instead of getting in the water and fishing, just leans over and tries to catch a snack without giving up a spot on the couch. Disapproving parent (poetic license) on far right about to box teen ears for being lazy.
Oh, and didja notice the cormorant behind the log that dove for a fish and came up with limp vegetation? No Bueno.
