Description

Candolleomyces candolleanus group:

Fruiting on a fallen and well rotted hardwood log(Acer macrophyllum and Alnus rubra dominant area).
Harvested 7 specimens.
Spore printed a single cap directly on a glass slide.
Spore Print: smoky purple brown.
Mounted spore printed slide/print with 3% KOH.
Spores: ellipsoid, smooth, many spores flattened on one end(truncated). Medium/small in size.
Dark yellow in KOH.
Dehydrated all specimens and bagged for herbarium collection/genetic record.

Harvested multiple fresh fruiting bodies and pan fried in pulverized Ritz cracker, flour and porcini salt.
