Recently, this ditch in Hefhill Park has been redeveloped for water management. A stream now runs through it, creating a small, marsh-like habitat. Apparently, the Mallards have found out about it. A pair of them crawled out of a nearby culvert and waddled through the tiny swamp. They stayed for a moment before flying away.
