Host: Opuntia.
A huge bush on the roadside with stunning flowers but full of sharp and very painful needles.
Stem segments are very woolly which is a distinctive feature for this species. Also seems to be naturalized around here.
A couple of small plants near Tuross estuary on what looks like a regenerating camping area. Definitely prickly.
Eaten -probably by goats or kangaroo. Kangaroo scats and tracks present.
