Φραγκοσυκιά, Ρουβέττος ή Λαδόψαρο (Ruvettus pretiosus - Oilfish), ένα ακόμα είδος για το οποίο υπάρχουν ελάχιστες πληροφορίες και καταγραφές.

Πρόκειται για βενθοπελαγικό είδος που συναντάται συνήθως στα 200 μέτρα και βαθύτερα. Υπάρχουν βέβαια περιπτώσεις όπου δύτες ή ερασιτέχνες αλιείς έχουν παρατηρήσει άτομα του είδους και σε πιο ρηχά νερά.
Το μέγιστο καταγεγραμμένο μήκος είναι τα 3 μέτρα και βάρος τα 63 κιλά. Χαρακτηριστικό του είδος είναι το πολύ τραχύ δέρμα. Τρέφεται με άλλα είδη ιχθύων, καρκινοειδών και καλαμάρια.
Στην Ελλάδα οι καταγραφές του είδους είναι λίγες, με αποτέλεσμα να γνωρίζουμε ελάχιστα για την κατανομή του στην χώρα μας.

The oilfish (Ruvettus pretiosus) is another species that we don't have enough data about.
It is a species of snake mackerel with a cosmopolitan distribution in tropical and temperate oceans. It can be usually found at depths of 200m. There are of course cases where divers or amateur fishermen have noticed individuals of the species in shallower waters.

It can grow to a length of 300 centimeters (120 in) TL though most do not exceed 150 centimeters (59 in) SL. The maximum recorded weight is 63.5 kilograms (140 lb)

The feature of the species is its very rough skin. It feeds on other species of fish, crustaceans, and squid.
In Greece, the records of this species are few, with the result that we know very little about its distribution in our country.
