We're continuing with Bibionidae this week, with an unfortunate caveat: Michael may or may not be able to join us, so I (Zach) will be 'leading' the meeting. As I don't know the Bibionidae that well, we will have to struggle together, but don't fret, because we have Even's great guide and Michael's voice in our heads from last week. This will be our last week for now working on Bibionidae. This meeting will not have very much review, if at all, in the beginning, and we will work mainly on identifying observations stuck at family to genus or species. Next week we'll switch it up!

Heyo, fly folk!

Since I have trouble deciding what to do each week, and I currently have a strong interest in the Australasian Sciapodinae (Dolichopodidae), we're going to spend a few weeks looking at and working to identify the various regional fauna of this subfamily. We will start with the New World, focusing on species identification in the Nearctic and genus ID in the Neotropic.
