Bluff Lake Nature Center (BLNC) is a nonprofit agency that owns and manages a unique urban wildlife refuge and outdoor classroom in Denver, Colorado. BLNC educates individuals to be engaged, resilient, and curious; conserves a natural area in the city; furthers equity in outdoor access; and nurtures the health and well-being of communities and ecosystems.

BLNC is Denver's largest open space managed as native habitat, and we envision a place where nature and humans can coexist and thrive. We believe people are positively impacted when nature is an accessible part of their lives. We acknowledge that human activity continues to disturb Colorado’s beautiful natural spaces and that the systemic marginalization of communities has created barriers that limit access to much of the outdoors.

With that in mind, we offer programs that we hope are welcoming for everyone to enjoy. We use land management practices that are sustainable and ensure the natural value of the site exists long into the future. We hope that individuals are encouraged to create their own connections with nature. We acknowledge that not everyone will choose to participate and that is okay. We want to meet people where they are and promote individual agency around nature.

Bluff Lake Nature Center (BLNC) es una agencia sin fines de lucro que posee y gestiona un refugio de vida silvestre urbano único y un aula al aire libre en Denver, Colorado. BLNC educa a las personas para que sean absortas, resilientes y curiosas; preservar un área natural en la ciudad; fomenta la equidad en el acceso al aire libre; y nutre la salud y el bienestar de las comunidades y los ecosistemas.

BLNC es el espacio abierto más grande de Denver administrado como hábitat nativo, y visualizamos un lugar donde la naturaleza y los humanos puedan coexistir y prosperar. Creemos que las personas se ven afectadas positivamente cuando la naturaleza es una parte accesible de sus vidas. Esperamos que las personas se animen a crear sus propias conexiones con la naturaleza. Reconocemos que no todos elegirán participar y eso está bien. Queremos conocer a las personas donde están y promover la agencia individual en torno a la naturaleza.
