sometimes: window collisions in downtown NYC & Newark.
stunned birds are in my hand for as little time as possible (a few seconds); my phone's camera is on before they're scooped up. immediately after taking a picture i put the bird in a paper bag, to get it to a wildlife rehabber. the main point of taking these photos is to document how bad certain buildings -- brookfield place in NYC, for instance -- are, in the hopes that building managers will eventually retrofit their glass.
