Born in North Carolina, raised in Tennessee, been living in San Antonio, Texas for the past 10 years.
I am an amateur. I'm a Spanish teacher deeply enamored with the natural world and play and construct musical bows called "berimbaus" that are used in the Brazilian art form of Capoeira. I construct these instruments from locally growing ligustrum's that are invasive to the region and from cannonball gourds. I also am a member of Bat Conservation International and have witnessed the great Bracken cave bat colony of Mexican free tail bats.
