Living in Cape Town (South Africa), I have a keen interest in the indigenous flora of Southern Africa. However, my primary focus is closer to home in the Greater Cape Floristic Region around the Western Cape province of South Africa.

As a committee member of the Friends of Tokai Park (FOTP), I occasionally join in on volunteer hacking events to remove invasive alien plant species that pose a threat to the Critically Endangered Cape Flats Sand Fynbos - the dominant vegetation type occurring within Lower Tokai Park's borders.
