Gatekeeping has no place on iNaturalist. Everyone on this site is doing different things for different reasons. I am here to enjoy myself above all else.

Some people know a lot about one thing.
Some people know a little about a lot of things.
But everyone knows something.
Knowledge is not a possession to be hoarded.
It does not, in and of itself, imply integrity.
Nor should it ever equate to status.
Knowledge only has value when it is given away.
So long as you never mistake doing so for charity.
