Greetings. My name is Karen and for the most part of the time, I'm diving at the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Indian Ocean, where my partner and I run a dive charter business, Cocos Dive. I call myself a citizen scientist. I have no qualifications other than I have an eye for seeing something out of the normal when it comes to fish.
Over the past several years I've been working closely with Queensland University Manta Project, documenting and identifying individual mantas. I've also worked with Professor JP Hobbs and Dr Howard Choat.
I love anything nature; it doesn't have to be underwater to gain my attention and respect.
