I am a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Earth Sciences at The Ohio State University. My research involves the creation of paleoenvironmental reconstructions of Ohio's inland lakes based on modern and historical (pre-industrial) diatom assemblages to better understand how the lakes have been altered by agriculture, and to determine the extent to which polluted lakes can reasonably be restored.
