^ Nanedenǐpïni: Al cantar del gallo. This link is to help me keep track of when I upload one of the first observations of a taxa to iNat (I will only focus on North America for ease). Nanedenǐpïni is a word of the Ópata, who are the indigenous people of the Sierra Madre Occidental in Eastern Sonora and from whom I am partially descended. I think a rooster's call in the morning is symbolic for this sort of thing.
I am interested in specimens of Tephritoidea from anywhere and everywhere, please contact me if you have any you would be willing to give towards molecular phylogeny studies!
