2017 April 19--Paying Attention to Plants at Home

One of the primary reasons I decided to purchase this particular run-down and unkempt piece of property was that I could see that it had a lot of wildflowers and wildlife. On the 19th I mostly went looking for a few wildflowers while taking care of other things around the place. I enjoy seeing the Pacific Sanicle, which is fairly widespread here. It seems I just have a small patch of the Purple Sanicle; it is cool to see such a dark-flowered plant. I'm grateful to have lots of Small Camas, a few Giant White Wakerobins, numerous patches of Henderson's Shooting Star, and a variety of other things.
