Fucus guiryi as previously defined consists of two species, one of which is described as Fucus macroguiry. The true Fucus guiryi also changes name, the valid name being Fucus limitaneus. All changes have been adopted by AlgaeBase, the taxon reference for algae on iNat

@jmneiva @esterserrao I've added Fucus macroguiryi and Fucus limitaneus (F. limitaneus still inactive for the time being), and drafted the taxon change to update IDs.

When you can, please check that this is okay and that the atlases for each species make sense. I don't know how far north F. macroguiryi goes, I just went on the paper and the observations here on iNat
