The fruiting bodies are not fully developed but the silver membrane on the stalk is characteristic.

Habitat photo shows where the clams were collected, within sight of where they were eaten. These clams were called "Martha Washingtons" by the people who collected them. Turns out this species as LOTS of common names.

This owl was found in a farm field. It was extremely thin (under all those feathers). Taken to a raptor rescue center, where it died.
