Two small clonal patches were found. Plants were no more than 15” tall, measured leaves were 1-3 cm long, glabrous underneath, and some thorns did begin to grow leaves. Damage on some shoots was likely caused by skidders during the recent thinning. I believe I also found one fruit that wasn’t quite ripe as it was purple to green still. Twigs have some blond hairs.

Reared from goldenrod gall collected in fall 2004. Flies emerged in spring 2005. I recently reprocessed the original images. Here you see the ovipositor extended. (I think that is what that is!)
